Rev. John Bolin, Pastor
Rev. Bolin grew up in Newnan, GA. He graduated from LaGrange College in LaGrange, GA and the Candler School of Theology with a Masters in Divinity. He was ordained Deacon in 2000 and ordained Elder in 2002. His last appointment was at St. James UMC in Laurens, SC. We welcome Rev. Bolin and his wife Kristi to the Tranquil family.
Jack Cauley, Minister of Music
Mr. Cauley has a Master of Religious Education from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville, an Undergraduate degree with a major in Speech and Theater and a minor in Music and Spanish. He is a retired Social Worker, having served Connie Maxwell Children’s Home in Greenwood, SC. He and his wife Evelyn currently reside in Greenwood. They have a daughter, Liz, and one grandchild, Soleil.
Jane Roper, Administrative Assistant
Mrs. Roper is a Greenwood native. She has a daughter, Hannah, and a granddaughter, Gracen. She also has two daughters-in-law, Robyn Agnew and Kristi Hays, and one grandson, Will Hays. Mrs. Roper studied at Piedmont Technical College and Lander University. She worked for the local telephone company for nearly 30 years in different capacities. She then worked at Wesley Commons for 16 years. Before coming to Tranquil as the Church Secretary, she worked for 4 years at the Greenwood County Voter Registration Office. Jane is an artist and calligrapher. She has taught calligraphy classes at the local university and throughout SC. She designs landscapes, entrance signs, and wedding and birthday invitations. She is a muralist, canvas painter, sketch artist and gourd artist. She also enjoys the outdoors, cooking, creative design, animals, and most of all loves her family and her Savior Jesus Christ. She feels blessed to be a member of the Tranquil team.
