Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
~ Galatians 6:9 ~

The Tranquility and Pauline Botts Circles collected items as noted in the picture for the Greenwood Pathway House. We appreciate your donations to this worthy cause.

Thanks to Tranquil’s always generous family, 144 items were delivered on December 4, 2024 to the Piedmont Agency on Aging. The items ranged from cozy throws and warm articles of clothing to personal care items and snacks. They, along with contributions from many other sources, were assembled into Christmas gift bags for recipients of Meals on Wheels. Schea Workman, Chief Operating Officer, welcomed the donations and expressed her appreciation to the congregation.
Connie Maxwell Children’s Home Ministry: As an ongoing Outreach project, our church adopted a cottage of teenage boys from Connie Maxwell Children’s Home. The boys are excited that we have adopted their cottage. We plan to take cakes to them on each of their birthdays, along with providing simple necessities of life such as deodorant, socks, and snacks. Favorite snacks and drinks: Cheez-Its, Takis Fuego Chips, Ritz Toasted Chips (Sour Cream), Little Debbies (Honey Buns, Strawberry Shortcake, Swiss Rolls), Skittles, Gatorade Zero and Propel drinks. Here is a photo of the items that we are gathering.

You may place your snack and drink donations in the designated containers in the hallway behind the sanctuary. If you prefer to make a monetary donation, please note “Connie Maxwell” on the memo line of your donation check. You may place your check in the collection plate on Sunday, or mail your check to the church (1702 McCormick Hwy, Greenwood, SC 29646). If you would like to help with this wonderful ministry or need more information, please contact Mrs. Ann Coker. Thank you for helping those who are less fortunate.

Please consider becoming a part of Tranquil’s tech team. See details below:
Dear Team Player,
Our tech team is up and running! We currently utilize four internet platforms for Sunday Services (On-line recording, YouTube, Facebook and the church website, www.thetranquillife.org). We need fresh ideas and insights so that we can work together and develop a social media policy for the church as well as troubleshoot “sticky” issues when they arise…you must have a sense of humor to work on this team! We hope that many will be willing to walk this unchartered territory of church mass media with us. In over four years, we have reached over 7,000 people with on-line services. Hopefully, we have made many new disciples for Jesus Christ. This is a very positive step for our small church. We also have a fully functioning on-line donation widget through tithely. While it is rarely used, it certainly will be a help to us in the future. Please contact the church office if you are interested in joining our team.
Please Note: Our normal schedule of Church events, Bible studies, Circle meetings, and music rehearsals is located in the Monthly Newsletter which can be accessed under Member Resources on this site.
